Hazel Wright | Head of Department
Divorce and family solicitor Hazel graduated from the University of Cambridge in 1978 She trained here and became a partner in 1990. She is Head of the Private Client Group.
Hazel leads our Family Law Department, dealing with all aspects of law involving families and couples. She specialises in substantial divorce and financial cases, often with foreign assets, as well as disputes concerning children.She has represented clients in some of the largest financial settlements in London recently. Her clients and referrers come from many different countries and jurisdictions. She has a particular interest in the increasing complexity of family life in the 21st century.
Hazel is on the board of the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships. She has recently served as a trustee of Relationship Counselling for London. She is a member of the International Bar Association and of the International Academy of Collaborative Practitioners.
Since the mid 1980s Hazel has been a member of Resolution, formerly the Solicitors Family Law Association. She holds specialist accreditation with Resolution, in complex financial and in private law children matters. She is an accredited family mediator and a qualified collaborative lawyer (see the UK Collaborative Family Law Group).
When not at work, Hazel spends as much time as she can pursuing her interest in military history. She is a working mother, with two teenagers busy studying for exams.
